3x + 3 - x + (-7) > 6

Simplify. Combine like terms

(3x - x) + (3 - 7) > 6

2x - 4 > 6

Isolate the x. Do the opposite of PEMDAS. First, add 4 to both sides

2x - 4 (+4) > 6 (+4)

2x > 10

Next, divide 2 from both sides

2x/2 > 10/2

x > 10/2

x > 5

x > 5 is your answer

hope this helps
